Car Hire

If you are hiring a car, all the usual suspects have at least one booths at the airport (most have more), including Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National and Sixt. Budget Car Hire has a booth available within terminal 2, for anyone who has arranged this in advance.

Don’t be embarrassed to barter a bit: the companies know they have plenty of competition so you might be able to squeeze out a good deal.

TOP TIP: Booking in advance is also an option: the major operators all have highly functional websites and you can save as much as 15 per cent.

It is very easy to get to CDG from Paris by car: simply take the A1 via Porte de la Chapelle and follow the signs for the airport. Alternatively, take the A3 via Porte de Bagnolet and then join the A1. Going the other way is even easier: just follow the signs south, for Paris. Oh, and remember: drive on the right!

Car Drop Off

The drop-off car parks at CDG Airport are located as closely as possible to the departures and arrivals terminals, with no parking being allowed outside the terminals. The ones in question are the open-air car parks adjoining Terminals 1, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2G and 3, which are but a 1 minute walk away from their respective terminals.

I am flying into CDG Airport on 23rd June 2011 Terminal 2B and have arranged car hire which suggests I collect the car at 2C/D (BUDGET CAR HIRE).What is the distance between the two terminals and can you advise of any connecting transport. Is there a web site I can go to with CDG maps?? Has BUDGET car hire got an office within Terminal 2B ?
    Thanking you for your assistance.
    Mr R MEEKE.

      HI Richard
Terminal 2B is a short distance from 2C/D and can be easily walked. There will also be signs on arrival that will indicate how to get to each part of the airport. Budget Car Hire also have a booth available within Terminal 2 of CDG.

      Thanks

We are thinking of hiring a car in Paris for a week and will be flying out from CDG Paris. The best option is for us to drop the car off at the airport terminal when flying out – are there dedicated areas for hire car drop offs? I have been trying to find an online map of the airport that shows these, but no luck..just want to be prepared, driving on the other side of the road will be interesting enough!
    Thanks for any help!

    Hi Robyn

The drop-off car parks at CDG are located as closely as possible to the departures and arrivals terminals.
More specifically, they are the open-air car parks adjoining Terminals 1, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2G and 3. This has since been updated on the site.

    Best,

    Alex
