Novotel have a number of hotels by Charles de Gaulle airport. This large, modern 289-room hotel is the second closest to the terminals.
Location
Like many of the hotels at Charles de Gaulle, this four-star Novotel hotel is just outside the airport complex in Roissy-en-France, about 3km from the terminals. Free shuttle buses operate from 5.15am to 00.20am between Aérogare 2 and the hotel. Outside these hours shuttles run to all terminals, subject to availability.
Rooms
There are three main room types: standard, superior and executive. There are also eight accessible rooms and seven suites. Novotel is great for families because up to two children sharing with their parents can stay for free. All rooms have air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and TVs. Pets are allowed, but charged.
Facilities
There are 18 meeting rooms, catering for anything from four to 400 people. Copying, printing and faxing facilities are included, as are an on-site support team.
The hotel cafe serves a wide menu of French food. It is open from 5am (for breakfast) to 1am the following morning.There is also a snack bar, L’Instant Nomade, open 24 hours a day. Four breakfasts are available: the Early Bird light option, served at reception from 4am to 6am; the City Breakfast at the bar, with hot drinks, unlimited croissants, fruit and orange juice; the buffet in the restaurant from 5am; or continental breakfast served in-room.
There is a sauna, pool and modern fitness centre at the hotel which is free of charge. You can also pay for a relaxing massage.
Wifi is available throughout the hotel but costs €4.50 a day. Check-in is nice and early, from noon. Check-out is also noon.
Parking
Parking is available, at a cost of €21 a day. Some is indoor, some outdoor and some outdoor but enclosed.
Planespotting
The hotel is just outside the airport itself so you won’t be able to see any planes manoeuvring close-up, but take-offs and landings will be very visible.
