The Sheraton Paris Airport Hotel is a stunningly modern, almost futuristic, hotel situated inside terminal 2 of CDG. Its bright, airy atrium contrasts with the dark wood and sleek comfort of the lounge areas. It has a total of 240 rooms, including 12 suites, and is owned by New York-based hotel chain Starwood.
Location
The hotel’s location is excellent. It is the only hotel inside terminal 2, moments from the airport shuttle train, CGDVal, directly above Aérogare 2, the airport’s main train station. From here, trains run every 15 minutes to Paris. What’s more, Disneyland is just 12 minutes away by TGV.
Rooms
There are three main types of room: classic rooms, club rooms and junior suites. Those in club rooms or above have access to the club lounge, with complimentary breakfast and afternoon hors d’oeuvres, as well as free access to the fitness centre.
All rooms are soundproofed and feature Sheraton’s trademarked beds. Satellite TV with pay-per-view movies and internet access is standard (though internet access is charged, as is the available wired internet, at €19 a day). The en-suite bathrooms are spacious.
Seven disabled access rooms are available, in both classic and club rooms. They measure up 25 square metres.
Facilities
There are 22 meeting rooms, each for up to 100 guests.
Check-in is at 1pm, check out at noon. Breakfast is served from 6.30am in one of the restaurants, Les Saisons. The other restaurant is the elegant Les Etoiles, which serves gourmet grub. There is also a bar, Galaxy.
The fitness centre with sauna is open 24 hours a day and is free if you stay in a club room or a suite. Link@Sheraton, the 24 hour business centre, has all the facilities you could need, including a photocopier, fax machine, phone and PC with colour printer. Additional equipment is available for hire. Wifi is available in all public areas, at a charge of €19 per day.
There is also a drycleaning service at the hotel.
Parking
Parking is available, at a charge, and the hotel provides (limited) transportation to the airport. It is also possible to hire a car.
Planespotting
As it is in terminal 2, the hotel looks out onto one of the runways, about 300 metres away. When booking, ask if you can have a room looking south.
